One year later
I can't believe that it's been a year since I have moved out of my parents place. You see, I was born and raised in NYC and ended up going to college in the city, so I never really had the chance to dorm and live on my own. Although I was envious of all of my friends that had the opportunity to leave their nests at the time, I'm pretty happy about it now cause I was able to leave college with no student loans (wooo!), anyways back to the point.. I moved to my first apartment with my boyfriend last November and it's honestly the best thing that could have happened to me. I learned how to live, and how to do laundry (yes I was a 24 year old man who could not work a laundry machine), and I learned how to fucking cook (I mean i'm alright, but I can prepare a pretty tasty lemon glazed chicken). Not going to lie, all I made was pasta for the first two months and i'm still pretty sick of it. But yes, moving out was exactly what I needed at that point of my life and although it was absolutely terrifying, I'm happy that I made the leap. I moved at the height of my creative block so I really had no desire to photograph anything, which is pretty sad but here are three photos I found from move in day. Being an adult isn't so bad, but I can do without the constant bills. Cheers to growing up! *raises a glass of mediocre red wine*
